An author and therapist writing about how to connect better with our children and teens.
I’ve written a number of books for parents over the years. They are based on my experience as a
mum first and foremost, having made mistakes, of course and hopefully learned a bit along the way

therapist/coach/practitioner - helping children, teens and mums overcome their limiting beliefs, anxieties, low self-esteem, grief, addictions, relationships with food and many other conditions
I’m very aware that we all learn differently and for some of us talking helps but my own personal experience of working with my own issues has been that it tends to take me round and round in loops, ending up with the same blocks as I started with, simply more aware of them.
My own personal journey has embraced NLP (neuro linguistic programming) initially with some resistance. I thought it was all about selling techniques! How wrong I was, or perhaps how right! Let me explain. As a mum we are on a daily basis trying to sell our kids on the idea of getting up and getting ready for school, eating their breakfast, doing their homework, getting to bed. Do you see what I mean?
But NLP although it took me so far, it didn’t help me with my feelings of failure, grief, worry. EFT did that. I find EFT tapping really helps me and my clients with reducing fear, panic, sadness, worries and so on.
Reiki also helps with feeling calm and it balances those chakras so we feel aligned and resourced.
Art enables us to express feelings and heal them without engaging our busy left brain and also connects to the child within who is hurting.
I hope you find what I share to be helpful and healing.
This may be through sharing extracts of my books on my podcast or videos of how to use EFT tapping or NLP techniques, or of course posts of a ‘how to’ nature or reflections for you to consider.
