EFT stands for emotional freedom technique or ‘tapping’. It involves 8 steps;
Step 1 - Tune into the feelings you have right now that you want to clear (hands on heart and breathe deeply to connect with the feelings)
Step 2 - Identify where you feel them in the body, the colour, shape, size and anything else about them
Step 4 - How intense are they 0-10
Step 5 - Do the set up “Even though I have this x feeling I love and accept myself anyway” (three times)
Step 6 - Start tapping on each tapping point and do two rounds
Step 7 - Check on the feeling, has it changed. If so, repeat with new set up, if reduced intensity, continue until it gets to 0-2.
Step 8 - I usually go back to the ‘tune in’ position and guide my clients through the process of breathing in a colour that for them, represents the feeling they would like to have about the issue.
