How could you explain NLP to your child?
Here's how I explain it so children know they have choices
This is at the front of every Engaging NLP book because I feel it conveys the essence of Neuro Linguistic programming and essentially it tells children that they are unique, they notice different things and sometimes what they notice makes them sad or angry. They can choose to make a different meaning or belief about these things and learn from them.
ENGAGING NLP
Did you know that every day around us there are millions of things to see and hear and loads of feelings we could have about them.
BUT
at any point in time we only notice 9 of them.
The funny thing is that each of us notices a different 9 things and that is what makes us unique.
What we pay attention to makes us different.
What we say and how we say it makes us different.
What we do and how we do it makes us different
Every day we make choices about what we notice, what we say and what we do.
Sometimes these choices make us happy and sometimes they make us sad.
