Do you ever have an identity issue? Who am I? Mums seem to have multiple identities as mum, daughter, sister, colleague, business owner, etc and to be honest as my kids are mostly grown up and living away from home I feel now is my time in a way it hasn't been for 30 odd years of parenting.
I struggle sometimes with my identity as an author, writing books and creating content to help parents and kids, as a trainer - training other mums to do the work I do and my identity as a therapist, working directly with parents and kids. All fulfil me but in different ways. Sometimes though I feel a bit out of alignment and I feel the need to write as my therapist and training work can be draining as I'm sure you understand. It often leaves no energy for more mental effort such as writing and all I want is to cycle or play tennis and exert myself physically.
